Too long...

Wow... it has been too long since I've last blogged. I've been so busy with taking care of our boys, moving the salon, crafting and not to mention my pregnancy. We found out why I was SO sick this pregnancy too... it's because it's a GIRL!!! We were overjoyed when we found out! I have been so overwhelmed with the thought of having a little girl that I can't stop my mind from thinking of all the fun headbands, tutu's and pink things I get to make her. With all that being said, here are are few pictures of what we have been up to these past couple of months.

Rainy day fun for the boys.... Nothing like going out in the rain with our boots and umbrellas to find some puddles to splash around in.

My little guy just loves to play with the umbrella, not so much use it to keep the rain off his head.

Toy Story family for the harvest festival at our church... I last minute made mine and Kyle's Mr. and Mrs. Potato head costumes.

20 weeks... beloved baby girl Reese growing

Day after Thanksgiving tradition... up to the mountains and cut down our Christmas tree

My little family... the little guy wasn't really enjoying his time, but my older had a BLAST!

I am hoping to be better about blogging all my crafting that I've been up to lately. I have made the cutest tutu for my girlfriends babe and a birdcage headband to go with it... photos of them to come!

Merry Christmas!

A little gift for a couple of love birds

So, I have been majorly slacking on blogging these past few weeks. My main reason is being so sick (morning sickness this round is the worst!) and the second reason is because I could not post what I made my sister until after I gave it to her.

I'm in love with anything monogrammed... I love my last name, love my boys names, I just love anything personal! I decided to make my little sister a set of monogrammed pyrex baking dishes, for those times you send someone a meal and want your dish back, or bring a dish to a potluck (I always end up bringing home some other person's dish that's in bad shape.) I was pretty impressed with how wonderful they turned out! Take a look...

New last name... Griffith  :)
I also made a moss covered G to display on their mantle or a shelf.

Pink, ruffles and red roses... BABY LOVE

Another girlfriend of mine had a baby... this time it was a girl! It's so easy for my "creative juices" to flow when it comes to girls (I'm a girlie girl). I, of course, procrastinated until the day she had her lovie to make her a little something, knowing I had all the supplies I needed I didn't see the rush on making something. Well, I heard she had the babe and went to work. Took me a total of 15 minutes to put this little outfit and headband together and I LOVED the way it turned out. Here are a couple pictures of the little onesie and headband I made for Miss Madelyn Michelle.
I made a couple roses, a tiny one for her headband and a little larger one for her shirt.

The headband and ruffle on the tooshie are made from the same stretchy fabric.

Crafting MADNESS!!!

We have had a very hectic few weeks... but I still have had a little time getting some of my crafting done. I made a paper flower wreath, started making some decor for my little sister's wedding shower, a little gift for my sis (I'll post pics of that after I have given it to her) and embellished a couple shirts for my boys (I haven't taken pictures of them yet either, but I'll get around to it soon) and I made my baby sis a flower hair piece for her ice skating competition outfit. Needless to say, I was a busy, busy girl and I am just now getting the chance to post these up!

This is the hair piece for Em's skating competition. It matched perfectly and completed her outfit. She was and is such a beauty!

While making this "flower ball" I was interrupted quite a few times, once with a bloody lip on my 15 month old, then to make dinner, give baths and bedtime.

Everything sitting out waiting for me to come back and finish my project!

The completed product! I loved the way it turned out and I will be making quite a few more for the shower. Once the shower is over I may just keep them out as some summer decor.

The start of my wreath.

This is the finished product of my paper flower wreath. I ran out of glue half way through my it and then once I finished it I realized that I should go out and buy a couple more sheets of paper and fill in the holes, maybe one day I'll get around to that.

Thank you for taking a look at all my little accomplishments! I've been enjoying this sun and playing outside with my 2 little boogers, with little crafting on the side!

love + 2 little boys + Sand

My husband and I celebrated 5 years of marriage on June 16th, he was able to take a week off work and we were able to sneak some alone time along with family time! It was much needed. Our lives are busy with 2 little boys who are always on the go, from 6:30 in the morning until 8 sometimes 9 at night! We decided to take the boys to the beach on our anniversary... that was a trip that I will never forget, and thankfully with all the photos I took I won't be able to! The boys had so much fun together, it's wonderful seeing them become friends the older they get. Here's a little photo college I put together from our wonderful day at the beach!

Baby Blue Love

I have found a new love of making my girlfriends, who are expecting, little embellished shirts, headbands, sweaters, really anything. It's something that, even though not perfect, I am proud to give. My love language is first, gifts.... I love to get, but more important I LOVE to GIVE. A friend is actually in labor right now and I thought it was safe now to put up what I made her.... she's having a boy, which I have 2 and I am feeling ready for a girl, but after making this I would love to have another boy (not that I'm pregnant now, but if I do get pregnant soon I'd be ok with 3 boys).

Fresh new look

I am so very lucky to be able receive a Glycolic peel about once a month without it costing me much... but then again, I do have a license to do so. :) For those of you who aren't so lucky to give yourself a peel once a month, and can't get to me (**hint hint**) I can give you a little at home remedy for an exfoliating mask. Now I must say you need to be careful in the sun when giving yourself any type of peel/mask. You don't want to make your problems worse by getting a peel done and then stepping out into the sun with new, fresh skin and creating new age spots.

Here's an at home remedy that I've used a couple times myself and absolutely love!

5-6 tbsp of fruit juice (lemon, lime, grapefruit-real fruit not artificial)
1/2 avocado or banana
1-2 tbsp wheat flour

Mash avocado/banana until smooth add fruit juice add wheat flour until you have a paste consistency. Apply to face, avoiding your eyes, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.  (You may not need all the wheat flour.) Your skin should feel plump, fresh and smooth!!

Hope you enjoy doing this!!
